The Order of Christian Initiation (OCIA), formally called RCIA, is the process through which interested adults and older children are gradually introduced to the Roman Catholic faith and way of life.

OCIA is a communal process throughout the year that assists the potential convert toward the final rite at the Easter Vigil, at which time they become full members of the Catholic Church.

If you want to become Catholic either through Baptism, for those who are of no Christian faith, or Profession of Faith, for those who have already been Baptized into another Christian faith, then this is the program for you.

Who is called to OCIA? Everyone!

Classes begin in late September and conclude after Easter. Questions? Contact Mary Chavez at mary@scdayl.org.
